The Cadillac Knot Ear warmer was designed to be a partner with my Cadillac Ridge scarf. I enjoy the simplicity of the design, though it’s also a timeless classic. The Cadillac Knot Ear warmer is functional and elegant, designed to be worn for years to come. My favorite aspect of this pattern is that it’s incredibly versatile. It can be knit up quickly with 3 different yarn weights, worsted, bulky and super bulky, to cater to the desired thickness of the maker.

Any fiber can be used for this pattern, though a wool blend is recommended for best results. Wool will keep your ear warmer from stretching over time and also keep your ears nice and warm!

This pattern was written for one size, though it can be easily modified for other sizes.

Gauge is not entirely important when it comes to this pattern unless you’d like your ear warmer to be thinner or thicker than the measurements provided here.

Approximately ~45 yards of Worsted weight (4), Bulky (5), Super Bulky (6) yarn
US 9 needles for Worsted weight
US 11 needles for Bulky (or worsted held double) and Super Bulky
Tapestry needle
Scissors
