Ca'D'Oro socks
This sock pattern is part of my ‘Palaces of the Grand Canal’ collection. It is inspired by the majestic Ca’D’Oro Palace, one of the oldest and finest buildings of the Grand Canal. Its name means golden house, and it’s considered the pinnacle of the Venetian Gothic style.
The sock is a very simple top-down construction with cable accents on the side. The heel is a reconstruction from a traditional heel flap and gusset, present in old Venetian hand-knitted stockings.
On the construction
This pattern provides a cuff-down construction, with heel flap and gusset.
