Cady Cowl
Cady is the cowl you’re looking for when winter is upon us, cold and bleak and barren, when little grows and less blooms. Written for multiple gauges and sizes, you can use almost any yarn to keep any neck warm. The unique triangle shape paired with bulky yarn makes this an especially quick and cozy project — perfect if you’re in need of a last-minute gift.
This pattern is written so you can work at almost any gauge, however a stiffer fabric is better than a fabric with more drape for this project. Remember to block before measuring. Here are some gauge suggestions:
Fine/Light: 9 rows square = 4” in Corner to Corner stitch held square
Medium: 6 ½ rows square = 4” in Corner to Corner stitch held square
Bulky: 5 ½ rows square = 4” in Corner to Corner stitch held square
This pattern is written so you can use virtually any yarn, however superfine, super bulky, and jumbo weight yarns are not suggested. For different weights of yarn, you will need different yarn amounts.
Size is easily modified to suit anyone.
