The Caer Ibormeith shawl was named for a numinous figure in Irish mythology - a goddess of love, dreams, and striving for your heart’s truest desire. And a goddess who happens to take the form of a swan, every other year on Samhain.

The lace chevrons along the spine of the shawl are reminiscent of a flock of swans - Caer Ibormeith and her 150 swan companions- drifting over a dusky autumn sky.

Do you love lace knits, but hate the amount of attention it takes?

The Caer Ibormeith shawl may be after your heart. With only 9 stitches of lace every other row, you can achieve your lace dreams with minimal focus.

Quick, simple and elegant, this piece is an effortless autumn staple for any wardrobe.
