Caerleon shawl was designed to make the best use of the generous yardage of Pendragon yarn. It is a sideways shawlette, designed to use up most of your skein. Weigh it at the start and increase until you’re halfway through, then decrease to the end.

Finished Size: 20x78” once blocked, easily adjustable.
Yarn: Avalon Springs Farm Pendragon, 100% Superwash Merino wool, 555 yards/4 ounces (Sample knit in Little Girl’s Dream).

Needles: 24” circular needle size 5 US (3.75 mm), or size to obtain gauge

Gauge: 17 stitches/28 rows per 4 inches in wet-blocked stockinette. Gauge is not critical for this item, but it will affect drape and amount of yarn used.

Notes:
This shawl is knit from one end to the other. Weigh your yarn at the beginning, knit the increase portion of the shawl until you have used half (or just a little slightly less) of the yarn, then begin decrease portion. For this purpose, a scale which measures grams is best. Sample used all but 5 yards, and is very generous in size. You may knit this shawl with any yarn, at any gauge. The secret remains, just weigh it!
