This pattern is knit top down in the round.The ribbing continues into the classic heel flap and gusset, and finishes with a wedge toe.

Available in a five sizes from toddler to adult large, the Cafe Socks are there for you to make family socks. Knit it solid or knit it color-blocked.

Size Selection

Sizes Toddler, Child (Adult S, Adult M, Adult L) with finished circumferences of 5, 6 (7, 8, 9)” / 12.5, 15 (17.5, 20, 22.5) cm.

Choose a size with slight negative ease for the circumference of the foot of the intended recipient.
Foot length and leg length are both adjustable.

Yarn Selection

Choose a fingering weight sock yarn with good definition for ribbing.

1 set of Coast to Coast Yarn Co’s Classic Sock Set (400 yards / 100 grams + 80 yards / 20 grams) in the colorways “The Usual” (MC) + “Currants” (CC).

OR fingering weight yarn in the following amounts:

MC: 120, 170 (250, 320, 420) yards / 110, 160 (230, 290, 380) meters

CC: 50, 60 (60, 70, 80) yards / 50, 50 (50, 60, 70) meters

Needles

Needles to work small circumferences, such as DPN’s, magic loop, or small circular in size US 1.5 / 2.5 mm.

If using small circular, you’ll also need DPN’s or long circulars to complete heels and toes.

Notions

Stitch markers, plus unique marker for BOR (if not using needles to mark BOR), tapestry needle.
