Cairedon
Cairedon is a lovely little cabled piece with some unexpected details. By bringing the cable to the very edge, designer Lucy Park created a softly undulated line in keeping with the twists and turns of the classic cable braids. The insets of alternating seed and reverse stockinette stitches create visual interest while making the pattern more engaging to knit. Cairedon comes in three versions: seamless and seamed cowl, and a scarf.
As always, Woolyn patterns are named after long gone NYC street and place names. Cairedon was the name given to part of the southeastern shorline of Staten Island.
Pattern can be worked as a seamed or seamless cowl or as a scarf. Either cowl version takes one skein, the scarf will take three skeins.
