This great cowl can be worked with as many colors as you want or even just one color. The buttons are attached in a way that the cowl is reversible and can be placed around the neck in either direction.

This piece should work with your favorite hook at any reasonable gauge. I used an H hook based on the yarn.

These yarns are thick, bulky, and are in no way consistent in the bulk throughout the entire skein. I divided each skein into two balls and alternated all four balls for each row with no rhyme or reason. In the end, I didn’t go through the entire skeins and still have maybe 1/3 of the jewel hand dyed yarn left. I guess it all depends on how you alternate the balls.
