The Calanthe socks are a pair of textured socks knitted from the cuff down. They feature a twisted ribbing cuff and a twisted cables panel down the front. With basic right and left twists, they are a good introduction to this technique.
The pattern includes two heel options as well as charted and written instructions for the motif.

Yarn :
You will need 400 m – 438 yds of fingering weight sock yarn.
The sample was knit using Regia Premium Merino Silk (400 m – 437 yds / 100 g) in 85.

Needles :
2.25 mm (US 1) circular needles or DPNs
or size required to get gauge

Gauge :
30 sts x 44 rnds per 10 cm – 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking

Sizes :
The pattern is written for a 56 (60 / 64), (68 / 72 / 76) stitch count.
18.5 (20 / 21), (22 / 23.5 / 25) cm – 7 ¼ (7 ¾ / 8 ¼), (8 ¾ / 9 ¼ / 9 ¾)“ finished circumference.
Measure your foot at its widest point under the toes and choose a size with up to 1 cm – ½” negative ease.
