The Caledon Wrap is poncho-style and designed for summer! The heat is coming and the evenings may be cooler making a shawl the perfect answer. In the daytime, this light-weight shawl keeps the sun off you while keeping cool. In the evenings, you might need a light cover-up to keep the evening chill off you.

The shawl is knit flat with DK weight yarn and then seamed to finish. The techniques used in the shawl are great for adventurous beginners and result in an accessory that is sophisticated enough for any wardrobe and casual for summer. The drape on the fabric is wonderful when using linen.

Sample Knit:
I have made the shawl using 7 skeins (50g/ 1.75 oz.) of Erika Knight Studio Linen Yarn (85% Viscose - Recycled Linen/ 15% Linen) in colourway Pigment (410). Substituting other DK weight yarns would be appropriate as long as you meet gauge.

Difficulty: Adventurous Beginner
You will need to know how to cast on, knit and purl stitch and decreases (instructions provided).

Materials Needed:
7 skeins (50g/ 1.75oz) of DK weight yarn
Size US 7/4.5mm 24”/60cm circular needles or straight needles.
1 stitch marker
Row counter (optional)
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Blocking tools
