Calexico
Calexico is knit in the round from the bottom up. After dividing at the armholes, the front and back are worked flat, then joined again to work in the round for the yoke.
YARN
The Fibre Co. Meadow (40% merino, 25% baby llama, 20% silk, 15% linen; 545 yds/100 gm skein): Queen Anne’s Lace, 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3) skeins. The Fibre Co. Savannah (50% wool, 20% cotton, 15% linen, 15% soya; 160 yds/50 gram skein): Natural, 1 skein all sizes.
GAUGE
25 sts + 33 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in St st in Meadow, after blocking.
20 sts + 28 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in reverse St st in Savannah, after blocking.
NEEDLES
1 - 16” (40 cm) US 6 (4 mm) circular.
1 - 32” (80 cm) US 6 (4 mm) circular.
NOTIONS
2 stitch markers, tapestry needle, stitch holders or smooth waste yarn of comparable gauge.
SIZE
32.5 (36.5, 40.25, 44.25, 48, 52)” 82.5 (92.75, 102.25, 112.5, 122, 132) cm finished bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 2” 5 cm of positive ease. Schematic has more detailed finished measurements.
