CALGARY HEADBAND
Fast and easy ear warming headband.
• The stitch used, is inspired by the knitted Fisherman’s rib.
To create reversible Fisherman’s rib in crochet, the Yarn Over Slip Stitch (Yo-sl st) is used.
• The center panel is crocheted Knit Rib for the gray band, and crocheted Purl Rib on the red.
Knit rib in knitting: Purl 1, knit 1.
Purl rib in knitting: Knit st worked back and forth.
SKILL LEVEL: Easy/Intermediate

My yarn: Drops/Alaska Aran/4 - 100 % Wool. WPI: 8

AMOUNT:
1 skein/50 g (1.8 oz), 70 m (77 yds). (Adult size)
CROCHET HOOK: 7 mm (J/10.5- K/11).
• Thinner/thicker yarn, and/or smaller/larger hook, will create in-between sizes.
My red band is worked with Bulky/5, and is slightly larger that the gray Aran/4 band.
SIZES:
Small: Toddlers, head: 46-48 cm/18-19’’.
Medium: Children, head: 49-52 cm/19.5-20.5’’.
Large: Ladies, head: 53-56 cm/21-22’’.
Band width about 10-12 cm ( 4-5’’).
