The 5,000 year old Callanish Stones are located on the Hebridean island of Lewis and form one of the most complete stone circles in Europe.

Callanish Shawl is a triangular, asymmetric shawl in two colours. It is worked sideways in one piece and features 3 different stitch patterns and 2 colours.

Pattern 1 is a textured knit and purl pattern, Pattern 2 is worked as 2 colour garter stitch stripes, and Pattern 3 is a lace pattern.

The shawl is worked in fingering weight yarn and the instructions are for one size only. Most fingering weight yarns are suitable.

The sample shawl is made with approx. 800 yds (730 m) of fingering weight yarn, approx. 400 yds (366 m) in colour A and 400 yds (366 m) in colour B.

Finished measurements: Width: 39.5” (100 cm), length: 51.25” (130 cm) after blocking.
