Calling All Occupants
I designed this scarf to be versatile in how it is worn. The inspiration for the design derives from the work of Pierre Cardin during the late 60s and the 70s, specifically his attention to the human form and use of angles and geometric shapes. I thought, “what if a scarf is not in the shape of a rectangle, but in the shape of a ‘V’?” I was reminded of a lesson in school: when you are designing for the body, keep in mind that the form of the body is not made with straight lines. Knitting on a bias results in a drape that you can effortlessly drop over your shoulder, wear like a shawl, or even like a bandana.
