Calvin P Cat is in memory of my favorite puss, may he rest in peace.

Calvin is knit in the round, to keep sewing seams at a minimum. He is a little more complicated than the simplest amigurumi, because short rows with wraps and turns are used to make his shapes. And the head, legs, and tail must be sewn on.

All that is needed is about half a skein of dk or worsted weight yarn and US 4 dpns, a marker, a tapestry needle and embroidery lace.

He’s less than a foot long and about 5 inches tall.

Gauge doesn’t matter.
