Calycina is a large crescent-shaped shawl in garter stitch with bands of brioche stitch. The same brioche pattern is worked alternatively on the right and wrong sides to highlight the motif formed by the brioche and the yarns.

SHAWL DIMENSIONS
Finished measurements taken after blocking: 260 cm 102¼“ wingspan; 60 cm 23½“ depth.

MATERIALS
Yarn
2 skeins of fingering weight yarn (366 m 400 yd/100g skein) for the main color (MC) and 1 skein of fingering weight yarn for the contrasting color (CC).
Shown in Feliz y Punto SOCK (100% Merino Superwash 400m 437 yd//100g), in the color Estrelinna for the MP and in the color Sienna for the CC.

Needles
3.5 mm US size 4 100 cm 40″ or 120 48″ circular needle.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions
Stitch markers; tapestry needle.

GAUGE
19 sts and 35 rows = 10 cm in garter stitch (i.e. knit every row), after blocking.
To save time, take time to check gauge.

Calycina est un grand châle en demi-lune parfaitement réversible qui mêle point mousse et point brioche bicolore. Les sections de brioche sont toutes tricotées dans le même motif de brioche travaillé alternativement sur l’endroit et sur l’envers du travail afin de mettre en valeur autant le motif que la laine.

Dimensions finies du châle après blocage : 60 cm de largeur et 260 cm de longueur.

Laine
2 écheveaux de laine fingering (400m pour 100g) pour la couleur principale et 1 écheveau de laine fingering (400m pour 100g) pour la couleur contrastante.
Le prototype a été tricoté en laine Sock de FELIZ Y PUNTO (100% Mérinos Superwash 400m pour 100g), dans la couleur Estrelinna pour la CP et la couleur Sienna pour la CC.

Aiguilles
Aiguilles circulaires 3,5 mm de 100 ou 120cm de longueur.
Ajustez la taille d’aiguilles au besoin.
