In the Cantabrian language, “Cambera”, is the name that is given to the mountain paths that flocks of sheep, goats & cattle follow. The design of these socks is a reflection of the sinuous “camberas” that are part of this wonderful landscape.
The socks are knitted with wool from “Alpacas El Camino”, a beautiful mix of 50% alpaca, 25% Merino y 25% nettle fibre. This yarn is perfect for knitting socks, as the nettle fibre provides the strength & stability that socks need, while the alpaca & merino provide the warmth & softness we all look
on hand-knitted socks.
“Alpacas El Camino” is a local project committed with environmental values & which main goal is to create an honest, ethical & quality yarn.
The socks are knitted toe-up, so you can easily adapt the length of the foot & leg. It includes a heel-flap constructed with german-short-rows.
