Remember the last time you sat around a campfire? The mysterious and at the same time calming atmosphere that the crackling fire radiates in the dark night? When I discovered the “Tent Stitch” a few weeks ago, memories of long gone evenings at camp came back to me. The smell of the fire, old and newly won friendships and the realization that I had not sat around a campfire for far too long.
This shawl was created for a cold but cosy evening by the fire, which I will be sitting around with friends, my family and a glass of wine before the end of this year. It is a slightly asymmetrical shawl and is knitted sideways. The following techniques are also included: Knitting, purling, increases, yarn overs, brioche stitches, I-Cord Bind-Off, Backwards-Loop Cast-On

Erinnerst du dich an das letzte Mal, als du an einem Lagerfeuer saßest? An die geheimnisvolle und gleichzeitig beruhigende Stimmung, die das knisternde Feuer in der dunklen Nacht ausstrahlte? Als ich vor einigen Wochen den “Tent Stitch” für mich entdeckte, kamen in mir Erinnerungen längst vergangener Abende im Zeltlager auf. Der Geruch des Feuers, alte und neu gewonnene Freundschaften und die Erkenntnis, dass ich schon viel zu lange nicht mehr an einem Lagerfeuer saß.
Dieses Tuch entstand für einen kalten, aber gemütlichen Abend am Feuer, um das ich noch in diesem Jahr mit Freunden, meiner Familie und einem Glas Wein sitzen werde. Es ist ein leicht asymmetrisches Tuch und wird seitwärts gestrickt.
