A pair of simple socks but at the same time with a front worked with a combination of knit and purl stitches that keeps it interesting.
On the front panel I tried to translate my vision of a fire on the beach or in the mountains during a camping into a knitted fabric.

Sizes
XS (56 sts), S (60 sts), M (64 sts), L (68 sts).
To fit a foot circumference of 20.5 (21, 21.5, 22) cm, 8” (8.30”, 8.50”, 8.70”).

Finished Measurements
XS 19 (19.5, 20, 20.5) cm, 7.40” (7.60”, 7.80”, 8”) foot circumference unstretched.

Materials
Schachenmayr Regia Premium Merino Yak 4 ply (100 g/3.5 oz, 400 m/437 yds, 58% wool /28% polyammide / 14% yak): approximatively 65 (70, 80, 85) gr, 260 (280, 320, 340) mt of fingering yarn, col. 07506.
Needles: 2.5 mm US 1 circular needles with a 80 cm 32” cable long or longer, or a dpns set. Adjust needles size if necessary for obtain the correct gauge.
Other: 1 stitch marker for the BOR, 2 optionals stitch markers for to mark the beginning and the end of the Chart, tapestry needle, scissors.

Gauge
29.5 sts and 42 rnds = 10 cm 4” in Stockinette Stitch.

Notes
The socks are worked from toe-up using magic loop. If you prefer you can use double pointed needles. I did the heel flap and gusset, but you can use whatever heel technique you prefer. You can also make them two at time.

Un paio di calze semplici ma allo stesso tempo con un fronte lavorato con una combinazione di punti diritti e rovesci che lo mantiene interessante.

Materiali
Schachenmayr Regia Premium Merino Yak 4 ply (100 g/3.5 oz, 400 m/437 yds, 58% lana /28% poliammide / 14% yak): circa 65 (70, 80, 85) gr, 260 (280, 320, 340) mt di filato fingering, col. 07506.
Ferri: circolari da 2.5 mm US 1 con cavo da 80 cm 32” o più lungo, oppure set di ferri a doppia punta. Aggiustare la misura dei ferri se necessario ad ottenere il campione corretto.
Altro: 1 marcapunto per segnare l’inizio del giro, altri 2 marcapunti opzionali per segnalare l’inizio e la fine del Grafico, ago da lana, forbici.

Campione

Note
Le calze sono lavorate toe-up, quindi partendo dalla punta e usando la tecnica del magic loop. Se si preferisce si può usare il gioco di ferri a due punte. Ho utilizzato il tallone con patta e tassello, ma si può inserire qualunque tallone si preferisca. Si possono anche realizzare due alla volta.
