The camping blanket is a quick knit, meant to be grabbed on your way out the door to a kid’s soccer game, an evening by a firepit, or whatever motivates you to sit outside when the weather is less than favourable. Originally designed for cool evenings outdoors, I have found this blanket is quite at home in my living room too.

The blanket features an ‘upsized’ version of the stranded pattern from the Camping Pullover.

Camping Blanket is knit in two colours of bulky weight yarn. The blanket is knit in the round then steeked. A steek sandwich is used to finish off the edges of the blanket neatly. Knitting in the round makes the colourwork easier to follow, the blanket quicker to knit, and I find the tube helps keep the weight of the blanket from pulling on your hands as you knit.

Camping Blanket is knit in one size as a lap blanket or a throw, at 42.5” x 48” (108 x 122 cm).
