Canada Day Wreath
With Canada Day just around the corner, I figured my front door could use a little sprucing up! And what better way to decorate, then to make a unique and colorful wreath for the holiday.
Materials
foam wreath – mine is 14”, purchased from Michael’s
red and white yarn to cover the wreath – I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in white and red hot
small amounts of other yarn colors to make your maple leaves – I used Loops & Threads Colorwheel in Crimson, Red, Dark Coral and Mid Green. I also used Patons Astra in Hot Orange (since they were out of orange in colorwheel).
5 mm (H/8) hook for the wreath and leaves
4 mm (G/6) hook for the leaves
red and white felt
measuring tape
hot glue gun (or fabric glue)
ribbon (optional)
fringe twister (optional)
Abbreviations – all crochet stitches are in US terminology
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
