This is the sock version of the Canasta Cowl design, if you know me, you know I love matching things.
While designing the Canasta Cowl, I kept thinking of Mexican Street Markets which are always full of color, full of texture and full of life.
The pattern is a combination of slipped and knitted stitches, that create a woven look that reminded me of all the baskets and colors used in Mexican street markets, hence the name Canasta which is the Spanish word for basket.
