Candlelight Socks
When it’s stormy and snowing outside, we make ourselves cozy inside with hot tea, candlelight and cozy socks! With the fluffy slippers “Candlelight-Socks” cold feet are no longer an issue - and they can also go to bed with you if necessary… ;-)
The socks are worked on a circular needle (Magic Loop method), but you can also use Trio needles.
You need 4-ply sock yarn, solid, semi-solid or mottled and a lace weight mohair-silk yarn, both are held together - so the socks become super fluffy and are also knitted in no time! A great project to reduce sock yarn stash - and also long “guarded” yarns can finally find a good use here!
The slippers are worked cuff down. All sections are described in detail, from the cuff, over the heel (with short row heel turn) to the toe. A beautiful Cable Stitch Pattern adorns the front/top of the socks - and it reminds me a little of burning candles…
I had so much fun finding beautiful color combinations of sock yarns and matching mohair yarns! And I could surprise dear friends with cuddly house socks! I could not stop and I must warn you: This project is addictive ;-)) MUCH FUN!
