I have a Herrschners crochet afghan pattern called Peppermint Ripple Delight. (I’m unable to find the pattern.) I made it for a Christmas throw. This past year, I donated it to my church. But I liked it and I prefer knitting. I found a tight chevron pattern and decided to make a knit version. (although the joining of the panels is crochet, easy to do!)

MATERIALS:
CARON ONE POUND YARN
• White: 1 skein
• Red: 1 skein
• Green: 1 skein

NEEDLES / HOOKS
• US 8 needles
• H-8 crochet hook

MEASUREMENTS:
• 45” wide
• 50” long

Gauge: 16 sts.= 4” (Rows, not important)

NOTES
7 panels, total: 4 in red, 3 in white (each 4.5” wide, 81 ‘ribs’ long)
• Knit 3 white panels with selvage stitches on each edge (sl 1 wyif for 1st stitch; k1 on the left end: not included in the directions.)
• Knit 2 red panel just like the white panel
• Knit a left red panel with 2-stitch icord on left edge and a slip stitch on the right edge
• Knit a right red panel with a slip stitch on the left edge and a 2-stitch icord on the right edge

I’m looking for test knitters to help me to verify that the crochet instructions are easy to follow/understand.
Thanks!
