Candy Corn Applique and Scarf
The pattern says “Level of Difficulty - Intermediate”, but the only stitches used are “chain”, “double crochet”, “single crochet”, and slip stitch“. So, this might be a possibility for Beginners. You will have to change colors every two rows, so there will be a lot of yarn ends. If you are annoyed by having to hide all the yarn ends, this may not be the pattern for you.The original pattern is made with worsted weight yarn, but Lily Sugar n Cream cotton yarn may be used in case of a warmer climate. I recommend a G hook if using cotton yarn. The scarf measures 53” long, but may be made to the desired size (a garland being an option).
If using acrylic yarn, soak the scarf overnight to soften the yarn. Machine washing is okay, but air dry only for both acrylic yarn and cotton.
