Candy Corn Hat for Barbie
This little candy corn hat is a fun little Halloween knit for Barbie (or other fashion dolls with a similar head size). It is worked in the round starting with the lower edge in ribbing and working up to the top.
Instead of purchasing whole skeins of fingering or other lightweight yarn for this tiny project, the candy corn hat can be knitted inexpensively using embroidery floss in yellow, orange, and white.
Another option, which works well and is covered in the pattern, is to split worsted weight (4 ply) yarn in half. The first hat featured here in the photo was knitted using Red Heart Super Saver Solids cut in 7 yard lengths to yield 2 ply lengths. The length and the density was just right using size 0 (2.mm) needles. Size 1 (2.25mm) would work well, too.
The second hat was worked using embroidery floss.
