Need a cute decoration or favor for a birthday party? Why not a cute Candy Cupcake? These super cute little treats work up super fast- even with the beads on top! Candy Cupcakes are worked in the round amigurumi style, entirely in one piece. Best of all, there is only one end to weave in! If made with worsted yarn, they even will fit in a reused mini cupcake container from the grocery store!

Candy Cupcake is a simple pattern, suitable for an advanced beginner crocheter. This pattern uses single crochet, slip stitch, chain, and working in the front and back loops. The beads are sewn on at the end.

Candy Cupcake can be made in any worsted weight yarn. The sample in the picture uses Lily Sugar and Cream. You should have two colors; one for the bottom part of the cupcake, and one for the icing. You will need a small amount of fiberfill stuffing. You will also need large holed beads for the sprinkles. Pony beads and other beads of the sort, found in nearly every craft department, work perfectly.
