The Orange Peel quilt block is like looking at a sketch by M.C. Escher. It is a complex image that creates an illusion. Depending on your point of view, you might see the dark shape and never notice the light shape. When picking your yarn for this project, be sure to use colors that are not too close in shade or the image will be lost. If you use the wonderful Dragonfly Fibers Pixie yarn as I did for this project, you will have enough yarn to make the matching fingerless mitts too.
