The Candy Stripe Baby Blanket uses a corner-to-corner moss stitch to make the blanket.

To create the candy stripe effect you must use white yarn with another colour choice and work in a striped method. Each colour way is crocheted for 10 rows until you reach the middle row (the point at which you wish to start decreasing) for which will consist of 1 extra row that is explained in the pattern.

This blanket is entirely flexible in that it can be adapted to whatever size you want it to be depending uponhow many 10 row pattern repeats you do.

This pattern does not include the instructions for the border shown as I used one from a published book (credited in the pattern), but I do give you ideas of borders you could find and replicate for your blanket.

Depending upon the size you want your blanket to be, you could use 1 ball of 100g white yarn, plus 1 ball of 100g of your colour choice, or you can double up, and allow for the border construction as well.
