The whole pattern is chaining, single crocheting, and half double crocheting. I have only one size, but this throw is so big and bulky, I sleep with it at night. you need 9 skeins of yarn, but you could totally make something else out of each skein, there is so much left. you need 3 skeins of Vanilla, one for each pattern. two skeins of baby, and 7 skeins of blanket, but this pattern is totally worth it to me.
