Candy the Axolotl
Meet Candy the Axolotl, named for the fluffy pink treat to which she bears a striking resemblance. Not only is she just as sweet as her namesake, she is also very silly. She sees herself as a budding comedian and spends her time swimming around, formulating the funniest jokes, crafting the cleverest puns, and working out the wittiest wordplay. Then, when her friends and family all get together at her underwater home, she loves to test out her new material on them.
Here’s a joke she just came up with: How can you tell when a salamander is curious about something? They ask a lotl questions!
She can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.
My axolotl is made using a 4.0 (G) hook and Knit Picks Brava Worsted in 3 different colors. You only need a very small amount of the secondary colors.
- Color 1: Cotton Candy (95 yards)
- Color 2: Rouge (less than 10 yards)
- Color 3: Blush (less than 10 yard)
