Candyfloss Horizon Blanket
This baby blanket is made by working rows of alternating cable stitches and single crochet stitches (UK double). The cable stitch is done in the main color (Blush), and instructions and photos on how to do this stitch are provided. The single crochet rows are done in a contrasting color (Coral).
For the border, two rounds are worked. The first round is made with single crochet stitches using Yarn A (Blush), while the second round uses Yarn B (Coral) to create crossed treble stitches.
Both the cable stitch and the crossed treble stitch involve skipping stitches and then working into the skipped stitches.
The 100% cotton yarn makes this blanket suitable all year round. Substitute warmer colors for the autumn/fall/winter.
I’ve used two different colors but this baby blanket will look just as good crocheted in one color! Use yarn from your stash to keep your crafting costs low!
