Candy's Choice - A neckwarmer for greyhounds
A new fun neckwarmer inspired by the Folklore cardigan to suit narrow headed breeds such as greyhounds & whippets.
Written in one size, you can easily alter the stitch count within the ribbing, or change yarn weight and needle size to suit your needs.
This pattern is worked entirely from a chart where I have colour-coded the cables to make it easier to read.
Gauge: 28 sts and 12 rounds measured over relaxed K2 P2 ribbing.
Needle: 4mm 40cm circular - I suggest a metal needle due to the stress placed when working the centre cable.
Notions: Cable needle, one end of round stitch marker (more if you wish to separate sections), Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Colour A: Sample work in Bendigo Woollen Mills Luxury 4 ply (fingering weight) HELD DOUBLED because I wanted this to match an existing cardigan that inspired this design. Using worsted weight will require approximately 140 metres.
Colour B: Also worked in yarn held doubled so will require approximately 8 metres in worsted weight.
Knit a single colour if preferred.
Skill level: This is hard to gauge but an adventurous beginner might be able to complete this project without much angst as there are only two different cables used. It is HOW they are used that makes it look more difficult than it is.
