Canna Shawl
I am generally a fan of floral and botanical designs. Give me organic shapes and flow-y silhouettes about 90 percent of the time. But sometimes I just really need graphic, simple stripes! Besides, florals and stripes are great together, right?!
Canna is an easy triangular shawl with stripes and thoughtful increases that make it fun to knit, and the slightly winged shape makes it easy to wear. A wide garter stitch border and tubular bind off help to keep the shape crisp, but a loose gauge allows for a nice drape
The pattern is easy to memorize and works up fairly quickly in sport weight yarn, so it’s a great project for social knitting or watching TV (in my TV::Knitting rating system, I would rate it “foreign film” knitting. You can read the subtitles and will only need to look at your work at the ends of rows and at the center markers).
