These sparkly socks are inspired by the holiday time, when you can cuddle at home by the fire and knit all day, with the sweet smell of cinnamon cookies (called cannelle in French) coming from the kitchen.
The stitch pattern evokes cinnamon sticks and is created with yarn over increases and decreases which make the number of stitches vary from row to row.
The socks are knitted top-down. They start with a modified ribbing, then the texture and lace pattern is worked on the leg. A round heel is then worked and the pattern is continued on the top of the foot, the sole being worked in stockinette stitch. A simple wedge toe is worked at the end in stockinette stitch.

Ces chaussettes étincelantes sont inspirées par la période des Fêtes, quand on peut rester bien au chaud à la maison, près du feu, et tricoter toute la journée avec le doux parfum de cookies à la cannelle qui s’échappe de la cuisine.
Le motif évoque des bâtons de cannelle et est créé par des jetés et des diminutions qui font varier le nombre de mailles selon les rangs.
Les chaussettes sont tricotées de haut en bas. Elles commencent par des côtes modifiées, puis un motif dentelle texturé est tricoté sur la jambe. Un talon rond est ensuite tricoté puis le motif se continue sur le dessus du pied, le dessous étant tricoté en jersey. La pointe du pied est également tricotée en jersey.
