Canopy Shawlette
The Canopy Shawlette is a breath of fresh springtime air anytime you wear it. Walking through a meadow filled with long green grass, a canopy of deep pink and purple blooms burst unabashedly in the tree branches above you…this is Canopy. It is a feminine, bias-knit shawlette, asymmetrical in shape, and bordered on 2 of its sides simultaneously while you knit the body, ending in a simple slip stitch striped border on its longest end. I used Malabrigo’s Rastita, slightly felted, DK weight variegated yarn in the “Sabaduria” colorway (1 and a half skeins and 310 yards on a skein). The body is constructed of an allover crisscross lace. The shawlette makes up to be about 6 feet in length, and almost 2 feet wide at its widest, deepest point. Full written instructions and charts are included.
