CANVAS STRIPED SLIPPERS
I love stripes, that’s obvious!
White and any-color-stripes reminds me of endless, sunny summer days!
STRIPES:
The vertical distinct stripes on the toe-piece, are created by Tunisian crochet worked side-ways.
Also called Linked Scs.
Worked as a separate piece, joined to the toe-cap.
- As I always do with all my cotton slippers, Cord-Soles are joined to the bottom for protection, and for street-wear! See photos. More sole-info below.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

MATERIALS:
YARN:
DK/Worsted. Cotton, or any suitable yarn for this project, obtaining the gauge-info in instructions.
WPI (Wrap per inch): 10/11.
My yarn:
MAFIL (Italian brand), Cablè 3 (crochet-thread # 3),
Worked with two strands. Achieves a firm fabric.
50 g ball (1.8 oz), 140 m (152 yd).
WPI (Wrap per inch): 21.
Amount: 50-100 g (1.8-3.5 oz) depending on size.
Crochet hook:
European metric 3,5 mm (E/4),
or any hook size to obtain the gauge info in instruction.
Sizes:
Small = US 2 - 5 / EU 34-37
Medium = US 6 - 8 / EU 38-40
Large = 9-11 / EU 41-43
NOTE: The S-Size can be worn by children;
Shoe size US 3-5 - EU 33-35.

- Joining Cord Soles to the bottom will extend the lifetime of your slippers, protect them against wear and tear and make them more comfy, warm and sturdy.
