Mitts: small/medium - sized for a 6 - 7.5 inch hand (measured above the thumb) For a medium/large knit at a gauge of 5 stitches per inch.

Hat: 19 inches, to fit a head size of 20- 22 inches around.

Slouched hat: 5 stitches per inch with larger needle (use the needle size that gives you this gauge!)
Mitts: 6 stitches per inch
