Capbreton is a sweater with straight sleeves, a round neckline and a funnel neck closed by a button placket. It is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly.
We start by knitting the button tabs of the shoulder then the upper back. The fronts are picked up on the top of the shoulders formed by shortened rows. The stitches of the sleeves are picked up then worked at the same time as the upper body and then left on hold at the separation. The body (back and front) is worked in the round. The sleeve stitches are resume and knit in the round. The neckline is finished with a ribbed collar.

Finished bust circumference approximately: 38 (37.5 - 40 - 41.25) 45.75 (46.5 - 49.5 - 53) 57 (61.5 - 59) inches or 91 (95 - 101) 105 (116 - 126) 135 (145 - 156) cm.

GAUGE: 21 sts x 26 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in st st with larger needles.

YARN: this sweater is knitted with two strands of lace or fingering weight held together.
Approximately 1770 (1870 - 2970) 2140 (2370 - 2550) 2700 (2950 - 3160) yards or 1620 (1710 - 1800) 1960 (2170 - 2340) 2470 (2700 - 2900) m of total.
If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.

NOTIONS: needles sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 4 stitch markers and 4 buttons of 15 mm and 4 buttons of 12 mm.

NOTES: the pattern is knitted using Précieuse (72 % super kid mohair, 23 % soie) from Les Bergers Cathares color Havane.

Recommended ease: 2.25 to 4.75 inches or 6 to 12 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.
Sample is shown in size 3 with 3.5 inches or 9 cm of positive ease.

Capbreton est un pull avec des manches droites, resserrées au poignet, une encolure ronde et un col cheminée fermé par une patte de boutonnage. Il est tricoté de haut en bas sans couture.
On commence par tricoter les pattes de boutonnage de l’épaule puis le haut du dos. Les devants sont relevés sur le haut des épaules formées par des rangs raccourcis. Les mailles des manches sont relevées puis travaillées en même temps que le haut du corps puis laissées en attente à la séparation. Le corps (dos et devants) est travaillé en rond. Les mailles des manches sont reprises et tricotées en rond. L’encolure est terminée par un col en côtes.

Tour de poitrine du vêtement terminé environ 91 (95 - 101) 105 (116 - 126) 135 (145 - 156) cm.

ECHANTILLON : 21 m x 26 rgs pour 10 x 10 cm en jersey avec les aiguilles 4.

LAINE : le pull se tricote avec deux fils lace ou fingering tenus ensemble. Environ 1620 (1710 - 1800) 1960 (2170 - 2340) 2470 (2700 - 2900) m au total.
Il est aussi possible de le tricoter avec un seul fil de DK.

MATERIEL : aiguilles suggérées n° 3 (côtes) et n°4 (corps et manches), une aiguille à laine, câbles pour mettre les mailles en attente, 4 anneaux marqueurs amovibles et 4 boutons de 15 mm et 4 boutons de 12 mm.

NOTES : le modèle est tricoté en Précieuse (72 % super kid mohair, 23 % soie) des Bergers Cathares couleur Havane.

Il est conseillé de le porter avec une aisance positive de 6 à 12 cm. Pour choisir la meilleure taille, mesurer le tour de poitrine et ajouter l’aisance souhaitée, puis choisir la circonférence de poitrine finie la plus proche de ce nombre. Il est bien sûr possible de choisir d’avoir un tricot plus ou moins près du corps et de tricoter une taille avec plus ou moins d’aisance que préconisé.
Il est présenté en taille 3 avec 9 cm d’aisance positive.
