In the fourth row of the pattern, in the garter tab cast on section, the knitter is instructed to “Rep last 2 rows 52 more times.” This should read, “Rep last 2 rows 26 more times.”

Notes
This smallish shawl is knit from the top down with shaping that riffs on a traditional Faroese style - a center panel that grows at a slower rate than that of the “wings” ensures a great fit that won’t slip off your shoulders. Mirrored slip-stitch patterns on the two wings are set off by a combination garter-eyelet-slip-stitch center motif that looks great on both sides. The patterning brings out the best in a beautifully variegated, kettle-dyed colorway of Malabrigo Silky Merino. The toothed edging is knit on last for a gently ruffly, refined finish. Gauge is only important as a predictor of yardage and for a general sense of finished proportions. To customize the size of the finished shawl, work any number of repeats of the Main Pattern section, ending with a row number that is a multiple of four. Reserve about 25% of your yarn for the applied edging.
