Capiz Window Baby Blanket
This small blanket is the perfect size to cover your baby in a stroller or car seat or playpen without the added bulk of a large blanket. It also is a good size for a preemie. Instructions are given for making the blanket wider and/or longer.
This blanket can be made with any size yarn. All size yarns use the same instructions. The larger the yarn the larger the blanket. Gauge is not important. Just choose appropriate needles for your yarn choice and you are good to go!
Note to handspinners: Since gauge is unimportant and all sizes use the same number of cast on stitches and pattern instructions, you can use your handspun yarns with ease! Just choose your yarn, appropriate needles, and cast on!
As a guideline, the sample blankets used 302 yards of fingering weight yarn, 340 yards of sport weight yarn, and 430 yards of worsted weight yarn.
