Any yarn weight or brand can be used to crochet Capricorn - when made with DK weight yarn, the finished piece approximately 126 x 31cm (49.6 x 12.2 inches). The amount of yarn used (DK weight yarn) is approximately 510 grams (19 ounces) or 766 metres (838 yards), with the main colour requiring 247 grams (9 ounces) or 371 metres (406 yards), and the contrast colour using 263 grams (10 ounces) or 395 metres (432 yards).
