Captain America Sheild Applique
Creates a blue Captain America Sheild complete with baby white star. Makes use of 2 basic shapes; circle and star.
Creates one size only. Ideal for attatching to other work, clothing or add a safety pin for a quick and easy brooch!
Gauge is not important for this project as it is mostly shape work.
I am a massive fan of using up yarn scraps and so have not been specific on colouring. Having so many abandoned balls myself I favour patterns that allow a bit of creative leeway, any blue and white yarns will work. I use acrylic yarns I find in pound shops. For the photos I have used a navy but a bright blue or even denim blue would work too.
Pattern has been written in UK terms, using a 2.5mm hook and knitters needle.
Any questions and queries aim to be responded to within 24 hours.
When finished take a picture and let me see!! =D
Technical notes:
- When attatching the star to the circle, I find embroidering each individual point of the star helps to make it more pointed. Because it is so small, the ends can become a bit rounded on thier own and look flower like. This can be avoided by making sure each point is stretched out a little before sewing each point on individually.*
