I originally made this hat for my son who is Octonauts crazy. After posting its picture, I received numerous requests for the pattern. It has taken many, many months to replicate and refine.

I am in Australia, so my yarn suggestions are based on the easiest options available to me. I made this hat using Thorobred 8 ply acrylic. Unfortunately 2 of the exact colours I used have been discontinued. I suggest taking an ‘Octonauts’ picture with you to select the closest shades of light blue, blue and dark blue to get the look of the character correct. You will only need 1 100g skein of each colour to complete this pattern.

You may also want to stuff the ‘Captain’s Cap’ to get it to sit nicely. I used a cheap polyfiller.
