The gloves are worked in the round in stockinette and fit a women’s size small to medium hand (measurements are provided in the pattern). They are fitted gloves and meant to be snug. The size can be adjusted slightly up or down by using the next size of needle (up or down). The fingers can be lengthened by simply knitting more rows. There is not a left and right glove, they are the same on the front and the back, so you will knit two gloves using the same instructions. Directions for fingerless mitts are also included. The hearts are worked using the stranded colorwork method. You will need about 150 yards of the main color (I used Mirasol Sulka Legato #47 pebble) and 50 yards of the contrast color (I used Mirasol Sulka Legato #43 Amaryllis). You will need a 5-needle set of US1 (or your chosen size) double point needles - I used a longer dpn for the body of the hand and a shorter dpn for the fingers and thumbs for easier knitting. If you have 1 skein of each color you have enough yarn to knit two pairs in opposite colors.
