Caracollo
The perfect hat and mitts set for blustery days. These quick-to-knit items have a great textural lace stitch pattern; you’re sure to enjoy watching the stitch pattern reveal itself as you knit.
THE HAT is worked from the bottom up. For the crown decreases, stitch markers are placed to marked the columnar rib motifs, and the sts are decreased between adjacent columns. When most of the intervening stitches have been decreased, the rib motif itself is decreased.
THE MITTS are worked in the round from the cuff up with a thumb gusset. When the thumb gusset is finished, the thumb stitches are placed on a holder and the hand is worked before returning to the thumb to knit the ribbing.
