Caracul Cowl
A 3D knit.
Use DK, Worsted /Aran or 4ply /Fingering yarn weights.
The Caracul Cowl was designed to either resemble a fake fur collar or to just be a fun snugly collar depending on yarn used.
The design was inspired by my numerous visits, many years ago, to admire a vintage coat in a lovely vintage clothes shop. I have pined after the coat ever since and still wish that I had bought it.
The cowl can button either to the left or right.
Materials : Cowl can be knit using DK, Aran weight or 4ply. The green sample is 4ply, the purple is Aran weight, the grey, pink and black are DK.
DK cowls use less than 100g of yarn.
4ply approx 50g.
Aran / worsted up to 150g.
Weights excluding buttons.
Use needles a half size larger than listed on ball band.
Requires one stitch marker and four large buttons (two inside, two outside)
Skill level: Advanced, Kitchener stitch is assumed.
