This is an easy project for a beginner to make a fun peg bag shaped like a colourful caravan.

It would be easy to add stitches to make a larger version.

I find that using pure wool makes a very durable bag, even when left out on the line every day of the summer months. I have one I made many years ago which is still in great shape.

I used a 4.0mm hook and 2 skeins of Drops Karisma, but you could use any DK or Aran weight yarn. It would also work well in cotton although it will probably fade faster. I made my bunting with Scheepjes Catona but you can use any scraps of bright yarn you have. You will also need a small amounts of grey (for windows and wheel) and black (for the wheel).
