I’ve loved the hat pattern Carbon Copied to the Max for several years and recently decided it needed a matching cowl. So with Sarah Keller’s permission, I designed the Carbon Copied Cowl. The design mimics the worsted weight version of the hat in every way - gauge, yarn usage, patterning, and the number of section repeats.
If you get gauge, the cowl uses approximately 2.5 balls of Plymouth Mojito Merino, and Sarah’s hat uses just over 1 ball, so if you’re knitting both, you will want to purchase 4 balls.
The finished cowl is 32” around by 12” tall and scrunches beautifully. Using a 24” circular needle is recommended.
