Carboy Cozy
This pattern is
available for free.
This pattern fits a standard 5 gallon carboy, and is knit in the round. Using acrylic keeps it machine washable and dryable. (The circumference of a carboy should read 36”, not 39” as the pattern states.)
Approximately 470 grams worth of yarn was used in the original design.
Anyone who has some experience in making wine or beer knows that a certain amount of heat is needed to keep alcohol brewing; also, dark conditions are ideal for both fermenting and storing beer and wine, because light does some damage. The cozy works for both - keeps the light out and keeps the carboy warm.
